At Gemmate Faceting Studio, we teach you how to use real gem cutting machines and techniques used by professionals in the industry — from ancient methods to digital precision.

Used for cutting and polishing smooth, domed stones without facets — relying on shape and colour rather than sparkle.

An ancient faceting method using a horizontal lap and a wooden dop stick. Develop angle control by eye and feel.
Perfect for · Learning history, manual skill
Handpiece faceting machine

Precision Faceting — Facetron
A modern mast machine with digital angle and height control. Achieve ideal symmetry and maximum repeatability.
Perfect for · High precision, ideal symmetry

Did Poom's gem cutting course. Useful especially if you're in the trade, since you learn what separates a good cut from a bad one and how a stone goes from rough to finished. Not many places here teach gem cutting in English so it was easy to follow as a foreigner. Good experience, would recommend to anyone wanting to learn the cutting side.
